Getting here
You come to the island by ferry, your own boat or by taxi-boat. Bikes and cars are left on the mainland.
Ferry
If you would like to take the ferry you go by car or bus to Tuvesvik ferry-terminal, where you will find plenty of parking spots (P besökande). The parking costs 110 kr per day and you pay by card (no cash) in one of the parking ticket vending machines. Or you download the parking app via www.letspark.se . Please plan to arrive at the terminal well in time before departure to allow time for parking. Your visit to Käringön should not start by stress...You buy your ferry ticket either or on-board, in the ticket vending machine at the terminal, in the kiosk at the terminal or by using the "ToGo" app from Västtrafik. The ferry goes first to Gullholmen and then continues to Käringön and takes about 40 minutes.
Boat taxi
If you want to book your crossing in advance, you can either book a seat on the boat taxi's fixed departures from Tuvesvik or Hälleviksstrand to Käringön or book a private boat taxi. The trip takes 10-15 minutes and costs SEK 150-200 per person.
Guest harbor
If you come with your own boat, you can dock in the guest harbour.
